Infinity's Kitchen, a literary journal, seeks interns to assist with submissions and promotion.

Are you a budding writer, artist or student eager to experiment with the idea of what publishing can be? Are you interested in art, in literature, in combining the two? Are you aesthetically inclined toward the experimental, the conceptual or the avant-garde? If so, you’ll like Infinity’s Kitchen. If you like what we do and want to be a part of it, we want to hear from you. We’re looking for interns to get involved with our online and printed publication.

This is an unpaid internship. Ideal internship candidates will have a combination of skills that include writing, editing, design, online research and promotion, a creative outlook, and a lot of self-motivation. Work will be off-site, so all you need is to be available online and we can negotiate the hours. Preference is for students working toward internship requirements for school, but other volunteers are welcome as well.

The projects we have in mind for interns are multimedia and multidisciplinary, but here are some general descriptions:

  • Content: research, writing, editing
  • Presentation: photography, typography, video
  • Social: contributor relations, networking

If you’d like to apply, please send a brief cover letter, resume and samples of your work (either attached or linked). We can work around class schedules and provide school credit if applicable. Respondents, please be familiar with Infinity’s Kitchen’s style and scope and send inquiries by responding here.
