Spoken Word from the Bending Corners Podcast

Check out this recorded mix from the Bending Corners Podcast: an exploration of poetry, scat, spoken word, cadence, and even rap in jazz-n-groove. From jazz scat and spoken word to reggae, afro-funk and early jazz rap in the 70’s right on thru to the modern phusion of jazz, cadence, and electronics. Word to your mother!

BendingCorners is a monthly-ish themed excursion into the music of jazz~n~groove. Each month (or there abouts) we explore an hour or so of music based around a general theme. The recordings, or “podcasts”, are a mixed set of groovy jazz and jazz-inspired grooves. Here is a playlist from the podcast episode ‘WORD’, where the theme was spoken word.
